Weyerhaeuser Work Days at the Seattle Center

On Thursday, June 21 and Friday, June 22, we hosted two groups from Weyerhaeuser out at the Seattle Center. Not only is Weyerhaeuser a corporate sponsor of the House of the Immediate Future, but they came out to work on-site. We love that!
The teams worked on brick making, the World House, and the House of the Immediate Future. Thursday’s group enjoyed a nice sunny day and set a new record of 71 Bricks completed for the day. Thursday’s group also participated in the setting of four large beams for the HoIF’s second story floor system. Not to be out done Friday’s group shattered the brick making record with the production of 91 bricks for the day! Friday’s group also cut and rolled TJI floor joists and helped build the first story interior walls.
