Week in Review
Posted on by Katrina EWe had a BIG week here at the Seattle/South King County affiliate. In no small part thanks to the 95 – 95! – generous supporters who made donations as part of The Seattle Foundation‘s second annual GiveBIG online day of giving event.

Preliminary estimates have us surpassing our GiveBIG fundraising goal for a total of $17,244. Thank you to everyone who donated or helped spread the word!
More great things from the last seven days:
Last Friday, April 27, Starbucks brought a crew of volunteers out to our Rainier Vista site. You can check out photos from the work day in our Facebook album.- On Wednesday, we had a volunteer appreciation barbecue to celebrate all the wonderful volunteers and partners who have invested time and energy into completing our first NSP 3 rehab in the Westway neighborhood of Federal Way. Attendees included Federal Way Mayor Skip Priest and the new homeowners! More pictures from the event can be found here.
As work wraps up on our first NSP 3 rehab, we have started work on our second home in the Westway neighborhood. Saturday, April 28, was the first work day on the site and lots got done, including: removing the illegal garage bedroom, tearing up the Pergo flooring in the living room, and priming the bedrooms for painting.
