Updates from the HoIF

Posted on by Katrina E

It was a busy weekend at our Seattle Center construction site this past weekend. On Friday, July 6, a group from Pacific Advisors joined us onsite and with their help we were able to work on framing the second story of the House of the Immediate Future, continue making bricks, and more progress on the World House.

The following day, a group from Turner Construction came out. With their help, framing the second story walls continued, a new brick making record was set at 117 (!), trim painting on the World House began, and the framing for the World House ramp began. Completion of the ramp will allow us to open the World House and offer tours to the public.

To keep up with our progress, be sure to check out our Facebook album! And thank you so much to all the volunteers who have helped us build the future!
