How you can help

Neighbors helping neighbors. That’s what it takes. Habitat for Humanity brings people together to create and preserve homeownership and to inspire action that promotes affordable housing in our community.

We have opportunities for thousands of people and organizations to take action. Here's how you can get involved:

Volunteer

Whether it’s with a hammer, paintbrush, keyboard or cash register, you can make a tangible difference in the lives of hard working families as they achieve their dream of homeownership. Click here to discover all of the volunteer opportunities with Habitat.

Donate

We depend on the generous support of individuals, businesses, community organizations, and faith-based communities to help us build and renovate homes for lower income families and ensure that there are decent houses in decent communities in which people can live and grow. Learn about the different ways you can give.

Faith Relations

Our belief is that all people should have a safe, decent place in which to live. We invite people of all faiths to support our mission to build and renovate decent, durable, affordable houses. Click here to discover how your faith community can get involved.

Youth Programs

Youth of all ages can be involved with Habitat. Contact Margie Law at 206-292-5240 ext. 111 or mlaw@seattle-habitat.org for more information on how to get youth engaged with Habitat.

Build-a-Thon

Together, the Seattle/South King County and East King County Habitat for Humanity affiliates host an annual Build-a-Thon. Much like sponsoring miles walked in a walk-a-thon, the HFH Build-a-Thon asks volunteers to engage friends and family in sponsoring their volunteer hours for Habitat. In 2009, the inaugural Build-a-Thon, with the help of 500 volunteers, raised over $100,000.
