House Sponsorships & Corporate Donations
Partnerships with businesses, corporations, congregations, and civic groups help Habitat for Humanity build homes throughout Seattle and South King County. Groups can not only support construction of a house, they also have the opportunity to provide volunteers to help build the home they sponsor. A thoughtful way to offer a memorial gift or honor a special person is through a donation to Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County in honor of that special someone. We will mail a card acknowledging your thoughtful gift and send you an acknowledgement for your records. To make these special gifts please contact our office at 206-292-5240 Ext. 108. You may be able to double your gift to Habitat for Humanity if your company has a matching gift program. To find out, check with your Human Resources Department. In some instances, corporations will match their employees’ volunteer hours with corporate donations.
Habitat for Humanity Seattle/South King County operates a Home Improvement Outlet at 21 S. Nevada Street in Seattle. Open to the general public, the Outlet sells new retail building at a savings of up to 50 percent or more, in addition to select gently used items. Donations of new materials sold by Habitat’s Home Improvement Outlet are tax-deductible and donated mostly from manufacturers, retail store overstock and building contractors.
Habitat for Humanity Seattle/South King County continues its partnership with Second Use Building Materials, Inc. You can donate a used item to Second Use, tell them it is a donation for Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County, and Second Use will process the paperwork for your contribution. Habitat will receive the net proceeds and you will receive an acknowledgement of your donation. Habitat's Cars for HomesTM Vehicle Donation Program

Do you have a car, truck, van, trailer, RV or boat that you need to sell? You can donate your car and help Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County through Habitat's Cars for Homes TM car donation program and save yourself the time and energy of finding a buyer. Our vehicle donation program allows you to make car donations to Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County and receive a tax deduction for yourself (consult your tax adviser). Simply call 1-877-277-4344 or donate a car online and Cars for HomesTM will sell your donated vehicle and the net proceeds will help build homes with families in need of decent, affordable shelter. It is another convenient and easy way to support Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County using your old or unwanted vehicle.
We are not a United Way Agency but you may write in Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County and your donation will be allocated to our affiliate.
Legacy Society (Planned Giving)
Making a planned gift expresses who you are and what matters in your life. It is a declaration of your beliefs, values and interests. You can express your commitment to Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County by becoming a member of our Legacy Society – our way of recognizing those who make a bequest (a gift through your Will) or other planned gift or our affiliate.
The most common method is to include Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County in your Last Will and Testament. To make such a gift in your Will, you may:
